Durván kigyúrta magát az Alkonyat-filmek sztárja: új képein szinte mindent megmutat magából, alig lehet ráismerni

Peter Facinelli első komoly filmszerepét Rebecca Miller Angela című filmjében kapta 1995-ben, majd a The Prince of Love című alkotásban tűnt fel. 2000-ben James Spaderrel játszott együtt a Szupernova című filmben.

Szerepelt A Skorpiókirályban 2002-ben, majd főszerepet kapott a Fox csatorna Fastlane – Halálos iramban című sorozatában. Többször is szerepelt az HBO Sírhant művek című sorozatában. 2006-ban az Árnyék nélkül 2. című filmben gyilkossági nyomozót alakított.

Legnagyobb sikerét mégis Carlisle Cullen szerepében aratta az Alkonyat-filmekben. Aki látta a filmet, az most biztos nagyot fog nézni, hiszen alig lehet ráismerni a sztárra. A színész saját bevallása szerint 14 kilót adott le.
